Thank you very much for the favourite. It made me very happy~ :icon34nipahplz:
Have a nice day
Thanks for the comment ^^ Took me a while to figure out what you meant since I had completely forgotten I even wrote that XD

Yes, I do love Snape with all my heart. He was my faovurite character and I cried along with everyone else when he died and his motives were revealed. I'm not gonna deny he was still a complete Asshole though ¬_¬ But he earnt my respect. <3

But I can't handle this overwhelming hatred for James and the like because he "stole" Lily I admit I held some resentment for James, yes, but in the end there was no "stealing". It was Lily's choice. Her friendship with Severus was rocky for some time and they were clearly drifting apart. Severus was seeking acceptance with Death Eater supporters and Lily was a muggle born. I really did think she tried to hang on to their friendship but "Snape's worst memory" really was the last straw. Lily was not unfair. One of snape's key memories was Lily expressing concern about her blood status at hogwarts, and asking Severus whether it makes a difference, being muggle born. Severus tells her, no it doesn't make any difference. right there, their friendship is sealed with that one line.
Years later, with one word, that bond, that friendship was undone. That socially akward ten year old Lily loved was no more and in his place was a pureblood supremist. Of course, we as an audiance now this is not the case, based on the fact Snape never once brings up the subject of blood status. Not even when he's bullying students like Hermione.
But that's not the point. From Lily's perspective, her childhood friend spat on their memory and that really was the last straw. So with no other choice, she turned her back on that memory and walked away.

You can argue Lily is partually to blame for giving up too soon, but as I said in my comment. That's life. There is never one person wrong. It's always both. We all mess up in relationships, whether we do something stupid, say something stupid, give up on them too soon, etc. We've all been there. And in the darkest part of our minds we may ask ourselves "What if..." "Would things have been different if..." the sad fact is there probably is a lot of Snapes out there that we created. But unlike fiction character, we don't dwell on it, we have to make the choice to move on or stay in one spot forever. Fans
Can't blame Lily either, because Snape is not her responsibility. She has a husband and child. Yes, she could of had that with Snape too, but we're not talking about what if, we're talking about here and now. Even if she did learn of what Snape did for her, the most she could do is forgive and become firends again. Snape would still be where he is, he would still have lost her and more importantly, he would still need to move with his life and find new love.

I could also do an entire rant about the wizarding world needing a therapist for people like Snape and...Dumbledore may have set Snape on the right road of redemption, but for him physically and emotionally, it wasn't healthy.

That was long winded ^_^ I do apoligize, but I guess when a writer can really make you think and bring out such real life debate, they really do earn the spot of one of the greatest writers. Thank you for such a nice comment, and I'm glad you liked my argument :D
O.O Deary me, I did not expect this when I wrote that reply, but I glad I did since it made you feel this good <3.

I got to say that Snape is a complex character and well writen but I cannot say I liked him (he just reminds me of someone I don't like or a could-of-been person I don't like or like ... if you get my meaning don't worry about it if you can't as I have trouble getting my meaning)
I can't quantify or justify who is my favourite as my likes go up and down depending on what I am reading or viewing so I have to say I love most of the characters so much I cannot choose :)

I like James but we get a rather conflicted picture of him don't we, because he is a bully yet he goes out of his way to save the victums life and going to extreame lenghts for a friend. As for the "stealing" part we are never given a clear picture on how they got together (pottermore possible exempted) other than James grew up and Lily gave him a chance. I agree with your point on their friendship and it didn't help that Serverus worshiped Lily.

Also the argument of Lily giving up too soon is comprimised by the fact we could of only seen the straw that broke the camels back or ask when is not too soon, we unfortunetly don't have enought information to make the call for them.
:3
True life is constantly in motion only in books and past is life still.

If Snape had gotten the help he needed we might not have the books we love today :3

No need to apologise, you are a breath of fresh air. ^_^ the truest thing you have ever written. I am glad you took time out of a presumibly busy schedule to write such a lovely reply
I'm glad you liked my rambling ^_^
Annd don't worry I understand what you mean. While I have not been in that stuan myself I had a friend who had a similar issue with someone they knew. so I can totally understand why you wold not be too fond of someone like Snape (to be honest, if I actually met him I'd hate his guts too. Dear god how man wanted to punch hiim in the early books XD )

Yes James and Lily are kinda hard to interpret. James's character growth happens off screen, so we never really understand why he changed or
Lily is even harder in that regard, since Harry always had Black and Remus (and Snape) to tell him what James was like, there is no one to tell Harry (and by default, us) what Lily is like. We know so little about her and what we do know is very onesided. Black and Lupin won't speak ill willl of her and James, and there's no point in even thinking about Snape having something negative to say about her. She's the driving force of the story and we still don't know her.
Maybe Pottermore will give us some more insight
(although I still stand by argument of, how does a muggleborn Gryfindor have a best friend who is a Slytherin Death Eater supporter. And have no one can figure out Snape's motivation!...I'm sorry but this has bugged me for years, how does that work?

I'm so quoting that from now on ^^ "True life is constantly in motion, only in books and past is life still." That's beautiful <3
